NuConsult is currently managing multiple wind, solar, and battery storage construction
projects as an Owner’s Representative, while also supporting the transition of over 1300 MW
of solar self-operations and O&M RFP initiatives.
Throughout his distinguished career, Mitchell has played a critical role in the development,
construction, and operations of more than 5,000 MW of utility-scale solar power plants.
His previous leadership roles include:
● CEO of Tonian Renewables
● VP of O&M for NRG/Clearway Energy
● General Manager of Ivanpah (392 MW concentrated solar thermal plant)
● Director of Plant Operations at First Solar
● Head of Hydro and Renewable Operations & Maintenance at Tennessee Valley
Authority (overseeing 5,200 MW across five southeastern U.S. states)
Mitchell’s academic and technical credentials further highlight his depth of expertise. He
holds an MBA (minor in Human Resources), a BS in Nuclear Engineering, and maintains
both Reactor and Senior Reactor Operator Licenses from the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory
Commission (NRC).
