Anita Nouri is the CEO and Founder of Green Growth Planning & Consultancy (GGPC), a firm dedicated to advancing sustainable solutions in waste management, renewable energy, and environmental innovation across the Middle East and North Africa.
She is widely recognized as a pioneer in the region’s sustainability sector, having led the development of the first landfill gas-to-energy project in the Middle East and spearheaded one of the largest Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) projects for carbon emission reductions. Under her leadership, these initiatives not only delivered measurable environmental benefits but also set benchmarks for innovation and financial viability in the waste-to-energy and carbon credit markets.
With over a decade of executive leadership experience, Anita specializes in bridging global technologies with regional needs, creating strategies that drive carbon reduction, circular economy practices, and sustainable infrastructure. We have a lot of the solutions in our hands, and we need to utilize the power and potential that is buried in our waste into a resource rather than hide it in our landfills or burn it. Through her previous company GESS and more recently through GGPC, she has advised governments, corporations, and partners on end-to-end project development, from feasibility through execution, while also advocating for education, innovation, and collaboration as key drivers for a greener future.
